I am Daniele, born in 1982 in Reggio Emilia, Italy. I use to produce free electronic music alone or with the Yue, apart of this I work as an audio system designer for RCF, I am interested in free sofware and I'm into the LUG of my town, I also love to dance and I use to dance funky and hip hop in the Arti d'Oriente gym. I like very much motorsports and F1 history, and I support the football team of my town (AC Reggiana).

This site is essentially dedicated to the distribution of my music in a free way. The “free” term should not be intended only in an economic way but it also characterises a precise approach to intellectual property. This approach derives from the free software experience (see the “links” section for details) and then was extended to other fields of digital knowledge, such as art and music.

For this reason the tunes you can find in the “music” section are covered by the Creative Commons License, that gives to me the moral attribution of the songs but allows you to distribute, copy and, if you want, also edit them. In this case you will be forced to apply the same license to your derivative work; I also ask you to tell me something because I may help you sending samples or tablatures, and because I'm curious.

For the same reason I don't like people and associations that earn money with copyrights, such as the big labels and the small ones that use to say they are “indipendent”, the fake “indipendent” music festivals and fake “alternative” crowd of people, and also the illegal organizations that sell illicit copies of CDs. I just take the freedom I need, take yours too.

However, my music is not necessarely better than others, for this reason I suggest you to listen to it and judge as you want. Go and download, you can.

About file formats: I chose to distribute the songs either in Mp3 format and in Ogg Vorbis format because I want everybody to be able to hear them. Ogg files are intentionally saved in a better quality than Mp3 ones, and I strongly suggest to download them because Ogg Vorbis is a free format, the right medium for free music.

About this site: what is fast becomes good-looking too, as the Ferrari 312 T4 winner in 1979 F1 championship can demonstrate. The rest is useless, I just have to produce songs, not other services. This site is written in plain HTML and it has been prepared to be just easy to use, readable with any browser (expecially links) and fast. If you want to see something good try Monica Bellucci or someone similar, while you download my songs as fast as possible...
